Hi everyone,
I'm about at my wit's end here. I'm trying to do a build for my wife as a present for her. It's a mini-itx build. I have done builds before and never had issues. This build is probably going to be my last with how frustrating it's been.
The (original) specs are as follows:
The next thing I did was order a new MOBO (same model) to rule out the other being dead. Same behavior. I happen to have a ryzen 9 that I know works, and I popped that in to test it out and still getting the CPU light. I changed out the RAM, too. I'm using only the slot farthest from the CPU, and one stick. I've tried all sticks of RAM that I have. Nothing.
I emailed MSI finally and they suggested flash updating the BIOS, which I did. Nothing. Still can't get the display to work.
Extremely frustrated because at one point I walked away and came back and the BIOS WAS showing on my monitor, and it showed the CPU / RAM accurately, but not the m.2 ssd I have. I changed out the SSD and I've been unable to get it to boot again since. I feel like I've tried everything and I'm about to give up on the build that I've sunk quite a bit of money into.
Right now I'm not even connecting the GPU and just trying to get the bios to work. Would appreciate any insight as I feel like I've tried everything from resetting all things, trying a new motherboard, trying a different (working) CPU on the motherboard, and RAM. The MOBO is AM5, and the cpu is as well.
