CPU DRAMA???

Hi folks. Ive been doing some benchmarking with the newest 3d mark tests. My Physics score up until yesterday were over 12000 consistantly. Now its barely 8000. I even scored a 7993 once. My CPU is a 2700k running at 4.8 Ghz at 1.35 vcore (about). I was running it at 5 Ghz but I saw temps up to 85c and decided there is no need for that. Anyway that move was not what caused the massive change in performance. I rolled back drivers. retested. Reinstalled new driver again. retested. Double checked and reinstalled chipset drivers. retested. On and on folks. I need some more ideas. I dont know what happened! It certainly is working very hard during testing and the multiplier is definitely showing 4.8Ghz under load. I dont know what else. Thanks for any advice!

Burned out 2 cores and left with 2 +2 HT cores?

Thanks for the reply. I checked hyperthreading and it is still enabled. Also I ran some prime 95 (about ten minutes) and all is well there. Im stumped!
