Hello guys,

I have a core i7 2670qm cpu and I want to exchange it with a core i 7 for pc. I am looking for a pc cpu which is as good as - or better than my cpu, You can check my cpu's score here:
http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=Intel+Core+i7-2670QM+%40+2.20GHz

The price of a new one on amazon is 179 euros:
http://www.amazon.de/Intel%C2%AE-Mobile-Core-i7-2670QM-Prozessor/dp/B008RET4D0/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1420505018&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=core+i+7+2670qm

I am not sure about the price of a used one.

If anybody owns such a PC cpu and wants to exchange it with my laptop's cpu, write here.

(This is not a technical question, this is a request for an exchange with somebody else's cpu)

Thank you!

You are tring to put a desktop processor in to a laptop ? First thing first, it will not physically fit in the laptops BGA socket. Second a desktop CPU will draw far too much power than the laptop is designed to supply. 3rd the laptop's BIOS will not have support for a desktop class CPU.

The answer is no. I don't want to put a desktop cpu on a laptop, I want to exchange a laptop cpu with somebody else's pc cpu. I don't want to put this cpu on a laptop, for sure, I want it for a pc.

The thing is I broke my laptop, the motherboard doesn't work anymore. Also te motherboard had a limited ram support up to 8 gb which was not sufficient. I was thinking to build a new system on my own laptop cpu. But it is harder than building a pc. So I am looking for a trade n my cpu to build a pc.

I need a core i 7 with at least 16 gb of ram. It doesn;t really matter if it's a pc or laptop. I also have a limited budget and want to use the parts of my broken laptop as well.

that's right.

No, the other way around. I want to put My laptop's cpu inside a desktop PC.
