Hey guys, so today I booted up my PC and was on it for a few minutes when I realized the fans started getting super loud. I looked through my case window and I saw my motherboards cpu temp read 75 degrees Celsius. I was just sitting in the desktop with google chrome open so there was no reason for it to be that high. I immediately shut down the PC and as it was shutting down the temperature shot up rapidly to where the temp reader on the motherboard just maxed out at 99 degrees for a few seconds before the PC shutdown. I have a corsair h100i v2 cooler so I am not sure why it is doing this. I was using it last night just fine then today I woke up to it suddenly doing this. Also my cpu is an i7-6700k if that helps. So far I tried reapplying the heat sink to make sure it was fit tightly into the cpu and that didn't do anything because the idle temp just changed from ~50 right when I start it up to now idling at ~60-65. How should I go about solving this? Thanks!
