Hi there!

I got my new build several days ago but the CPU EZ Debug light remains solid white and no signal to the monitor (this monitor works OK on my laptop).
The fans of Graphic card, CPU and case are spinning while it seems not successful boot at all.
After trying every method I could do there is nothing changed, I'm desperate.

Specs:
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5800x
  • Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 gaming plus
  • Memory: Corsair vengance DDR4-3600MHz CMH32GX4M2D3600C18W
  • SSD: Samsung 980 1TB
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 980 4GB
  • PSU: Corsair RM850
Everything is brand new except the GTX 980 that worked fine on an older PC.

Things I have tried:
  • Checked each connector
  • Checked CPU installation and pins
  • Checked DRAM installation
  • Installed only 1 DRAM
  • Reset CMOS
  • Flashed BIOS with the button on mobo (BIOS version from 7C56v16 to the latest 7C56v1A1)
  • Reseated each removable component
  • Booted without graphic card
  • Connected the monitor by HDMI or DP
But the CPU EZ Debug LED still stays solid white.

I can't stop thinking it is the incompatible graphic card but someone had success with an even older GTX 780 (https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/ez-debug-solid-white-cpu-led-on-first-boot.3717154/).

Another chance being unlucky enough to get a new but defect 5800x CPU?

I cannot imagine what else I can do for such situation except buying another graphic card.

Really appreciate it if anyone could give some advice.

Per your manual here
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support#manual
A CPU EZ Debug light clearly indicates a faulty CPU or not recognized CPU.

Why do you think it is a GPU problem ?
Thanks for your reply.

Because GTX 980 is not in the compatibility list of VGA (https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS/support#vga),
and sometimes other parts may also cause the CPU EZ Debug light on? (I'm not sure, just according to search on Google)

And I am trying to assume a newly bought CPU is fine...
