CPU fan as rear CHA

Hi all, I was looking at front/rear 8cm fans for better flow and realized that i7 stock fan fits at rear nicely, I assume it would be safe to connect it to CHA1/2 of my p8z77 as the connectors are identical and it's 12V. Reason I'm asking is I can't find connector specs anywhere 😛
