I just added 2 used SSD's to my desktop and needed to add another SATA cord to do so. It booted up fine but could only format 1 of the new drives, the other said it couldn't be done because it was currently in use. There were also 2 smaller "drives" visible in the My PC window, they were about 300mb each.
I restarted and went into the BIOS to see if there was anything to be done there. While there, I noticed a few optional tweaks like Asus optimal settings, and EZ tuning wizard. From the wizard, I allowed the OC option to make adjustments to boost CPU performance by 12%, saved and exited. I immediately pulled up the BIOS and noticed it trying to boot from one of the new drives rather than the original.
I reset the defaults and rebooted, that's when I got the fan error message. I can see the fans spinning,but it sounds a bit quiet. I realize I made a few rookie mistakes, but don't want to screw it up any more. I also saw some fixes by changing the fan monitoring to ignore, but that seemed foolish if they're not actually cooling enough.
Please help.
