Just installed my New H110i AIO on my Asus ROG STRIX B350-F mobo. Two fans are connected to the pump that is in the CPU-Fan 4-pin connector, Micro USB is connected to the USB 2.0 header, and the Sata cable is connected to the power supply.

After booting the PC up for the first time, I get one long beep with 4 short beeps which means hardware failure, and the bios says CPU Fan Error. After researching for hours, multiple sources said to set the Cpu fan to ignore. I didn’t do this because the CPU was getting hotter by the second reaching from 30C to 60C within 30 seconds.

Please answer these questions bc i’m lost as hell:

1. Why is there an AIO pump on the motherboard when people are saying to connect it to the CPU FAN connector?

2. How do I know the Pump is even working, the fans are spinning and the LEDs come on when booting up.

All components were working before with the only thing being changed is the Case and AIO Cooler.

the aio pump is the block that sits on your CPU it have 2 purpose, suck the heat from your cpu, and transfer it into the liquid, and circulate the hot liquid to the radiator. this part of your AIO is called the pump, and the 43/4 wire from this device NEEDs to be connected to the header (plug) on your motherboard called AIO_PUMP, as to why, because the motherboard bios needs to be able to control how fast the pump goes to keep your cpu cool, and monitor if the pump fails (cpu fan error) the fan attached to the radiator is also important as It cools the liquid that is being pushed into it by the aio pump, so normally this fan is either connected to CPU_OPT

Edit your motherboard manual is located at : http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/STRIX_B350-F_GAMING/E13031_ROG_STRIX_B350-F_GAMING_UM_V2_web_20170606.pdf?_ga=2.86403928.150890238.1514208490-1793528967.1507551773

Why is the Bios saying that CPU-Fan error tho

Because nothgin is connected to the cpu_fan header, now boot pc and jump to bios, goto temperature, if your cpu hovers anywhere between 40-60c then its fine. anything higher then we need to talk about how much heatsink paste did you use between your cpu and your aio pump

It is connected to the CPU fan connector, that’s why i’m hella confused but says that There’s an error.

Just did that and booted up but still got the same error
