Alright, so i have an old HP computer see specs for the most part here >

I've put a 120 kingston SSD, a Seasonic 620w PSU, and a GTX660 in it.
Along with two new Noctua fans... one being a 3 pin case fan (works wonderful) and the notorious 4 pin noctua nf-r8 pwm that is giving me issues.
I've read around and I haven't yet found exactly the same issue I seem to be having. Which is... my old fan works fine... other then the gradually progressive ageing bearings in it. It's the stock Cool Master fan that came with the computer. When i swap in the brand new Noctua into the system won't boot... all i get is "CPU Fan Not Dectected... ect ect must shut down to avoid critical damage" or something to that effect... and it shutsdown... so I can't get into the BIOS even if i wanted to. At least not with the Noctua in it.
The catch is I'm watching the fan spin the entire time while the thing tries to presumably find said fan... so I swap back to the old fan... and it works fine...I'm left to assume the MOBO is fine, and i didn't gimp a pin on the removal of the old fan. I've swapped back and forth a half dozen times hoping one time it would just work... to no avail.
Unfortunately i can't just go into the Bios and "ignore CPU warning" because there is no such setting in my BIOS (which I have fully updated to v5.43)
I've downloaded Speedfan... and they don't show up in the Configure > Fan Control section
Oh and i've running Win7 now... any thoughts, or wild and crazy theories are welcome.
Sincerly, Monkey.
