[SOLVED] "Cpu fan error!" on boot, and rapidly increasing cpu temperature in BIOS

Cpu is i5 4460.

I reapplied thermal paste (and ofc I had to unninstall and install the Intel Stock Cpu cooler) and when I tried to boot the PC, I had this error message.

I reapplied thermal paste AGAIN and its still the same problem. I am sure the Cooler cable is connected to the Motherboard and the 4 push pins of Cpu cooler are in (with the exception of 1 think).

The cpu cooler feels really stuck so i know its installed. However it does not spin at all when im in BIOS.

Im panicking a little bit, as I dont have another Intel cpu cooler to test with.

Note: I only applied thermal paste on the CPU. The cpu cooler has no thermal paste.

Solution
It isn't clear in the photo, please check the fan is on CPU_fan and not CHA_fan1
if it does not spin at all, maybe the fan died and you need a new cooler.

Looks to me like it's plugged on the CPU_FAN header. Fan is probably dead. Aftermarket cooler would be your go-to. Do not attempt to boot the PC further.
