CPU Fan Error on Boot

Hey there folks!
I just finished my very first build and at boot I got a cpu fan error. I've got a Noctua NH-U14S for CPU cooling and it's plugged into the main CPU fan connection.
The motherboard acknowledges the existence of the CPU fan but it seems to think it's running too low (it's at 568 RPM with a CPU temperature of 32C showing BIOS). It seems the lowest RPM without warning is 600RPM.

I'm a total noob so I'm really just clueless about if this is an actual issue or not. Is 32C for a CPU that's just showing BIOS normal? Should my CPU fan be working harder right now and keeping the CPU cooler?

If this isn't an issue, I'm guessing it's all right to lower the threshold for cpu fan warning to something closer to 400-500RPM, right?

If this isn't normal and it's an actual problem, what can I do about it? I mean, the fan is recognized by the system and it seems to run, just a bit slower than the motherboard expects it to. Then again, I can't run any tests on it (playing games or stuff like that) at the moment since I'm waiting for my OS to be delivered.

My build is the following:

ASUS Z87-PRO
Intel i7-4770k
Kingston DDR3 HyperX Predator 8GB
Noctua NH-U14S CPU Cooler
EVGA GeForce GTX770
Corsair AX860 PSU

If your temp is showing 32c in the BIOS, I would go ahead and lower the CPU Fan threshold. As soon as you boot up, grab a temp monitoring program (CoreTemp, RealTemp, etc..) and watch it there. If things stay pretty cool (within 5c or so of your BIOS reading), you should be good to go.

I have had the same issue. In the motherboard bios, there will be some fan control settings. One sets the rpm at which a fan warning is issued. The default is likely 600 rpm.
Just lower that number to 300 rpm, and you should be good.
The noctua coolers run very quiet because they do not need high rpm fans.

The BIOS doesn't know you bought a 3rd party cooler and is expecting to see the Intel stock cooler's smaller, high rpm fan. Go into BIOS and reset the minimum fan speed to 550 rpm, problem solved.

Hi,

I had same problem with my noctua nh-u14s with z87-po. I had some other errors too. I returned the MB and waiting for replacement.
