My computer has been rebooting randomly in the middle of playing games. When it reboots it says "CPU fan error". I read that this means the CPU is overheating, however this does not make sense as I am using a Ryzen 5 3600 which has a low TDP, with the stock wraith cooler. I also tried reapplying the thermal paste carefully to no avail.

CPU has stock wraith cooler, using B450 Tomahawk max, 5700xt, EVGA 650 GA.

Thank you for your time

I’m not impressed with their stock cooler. I have a 3600, and I’m using a wraith prism on it, it still goes to low 70s under load. It runs good with that, but I found a vetroo v5 tower cooler like jayz2cents reviewed. For 27 bucks why not. So that’s on the way currently.
