CPU fan error

I have recently built my own computer and after getting two new mother boards I finally have one that gets to the BIOS screen but once i get there it says CPU fan error and then blue screens on start up I don't know what to do to fix this problem because I have had so many other problems i have an
asus M5A97 R 2.0
AMD FX 8 core Zambezi processor
MSI 7850 twin frozr
!000 watt power supply

is the fan working though??

You should check that is fan properly connected or not, if it is connected properly and still you are seeing this problem then you should change the CPU fan.

Make sure you're plugging your CPU fan adapter into the right slot on the motherboard. It should be the first one, right on top of the CPU. Make sure all three of golden fingers on it are being seated in properly. If all thus fails, then it might possibly be your CPU fan.
