Hello guys! I just recently put together my PC when when I boot it up it says :CPU FAN ERROR. I can however navigate the bios and everything seems fine.

I have am Asus rampage 4 formula. My CPU fan header is connected to an 8 way splitter with 4 fans connected and the CPU opt has a pump on it. Thanks!

Solution
Usually the motherboard fan header can provide 1 AMP, if you have 4 fans and the pump on it, you do overload it that is why you got the error. The MB should have more fan headers, I recommend to use other one, but make only pump 3pin or 4pin one connect to the cpu fan header, and no other fan on it.
