Built my computer about 8 months ago and it has been running fine up until a few weeks ago. It has been coming up with the "CPU Fan Error press F1". It wont start on the initial start up, but if you just hit the reset button on the error screen it starts up normally, everything works fine, no pins are bent on the fan plug, fan spins upon reset, just curious if anyone has any idea what the cause might be or how to fix it.

Specs:
MoBo - Asus Z87 Plus
Ram - 16G Corsair Vengance
Processor - Intel I5 4670K Haswell 3.4
PSU - EVGA 750w
GPU - MSI Lightning 780
SSD - Samsung 250G

Solution
Connect it to the other CPU Fan header , I think there should be two on your mobo . One beside the CPU and one above it directly and that should fix the problem also clean it from the dust in the process.
