hey guys, i recently got my self a sabertooth r2 motherboard
and when i power it up it gives a "CPU Fan error" message
the board is secound hand and i know to fix the issue is to either buy a new cpu fan (though the one i have works) or to lower the rpm or ignore in the bios...

only issue is... i cant get to the bios in time before my computer shuts its self off?
i spam the f2 at the begingin, then it comes up with the message which is wants me to press f1
but before that message comes up it shuts off to prevent damage.

youtube guides ive seen etc theirs dont shut off, so why is mine? the cpu fan works i was using it in another build which ran fine... i do have another cpu fan i could use but the problem is its loud as balls. my temperatures do run in the 40's but with 7 interor fans, (back and top are out exshaughts, front 4 are brighting air in) i cant see it over heating too much...

so can i access the bios before it shuts down on me, im about to ry the "break/pause" button now to freeze it on the screen but i dont think thats going to help, ive reset the bios and the cmos aswell...?

Solution
Go to back to safemode and go to event viewer > windows logs > check the applications and system logs (filter it with critical and errors) see which gives the issue.
i reinstalled the cpu but it seemed pretty firm as it was hard to take off like it was glued, re installed it and then used the pause thing and fixed the issue but now its started crashing my windows 10, but only after logging in? it can sit idle on the log in page and also works fine in bios but when i log in it freezes after about 10 minutes, the processors a fx 9580 or something, its 8 cores at 4.7ghz and the motherboard a sabertooth r2, running 20 gb ram, 2 hard drives and a MSI GTX 750 ti, and 7-8 internal fans powered by molex, the power supply is an antec 560watt aswell, so i dont understand why its crashing? the motherboard i used before with the same set up (other then the processor was a phenom ii x4 3.4ghz processor) and it didnt crash then, is it just a setting or am i not running enough power?

you need to boot it onto safemode and uninstall the drivers for the old motherboard then install the drivers for the saberthooth. The drivers that causes your system to not function correctly.

i never installed drivers for the other motherboard either as i didnt have adisk and never bothered, i used a program called "driver pack solutions" to install drivers but as far as im aware it had none of the motherboard drivers on it.

i have the disk for this one but i dont have a CD drive, do oyu sugest me downloading them and try installing them?

ive stopped all start p applications i didnt need and ried it in safe mode, it works fine in safe mode but even with the start ups disabled it still does it when i ry to load stuff, it crashed when i loaded steam, then i reset it and it jst crashed by its self anyway, reset it and disabled enhanced features on my audio and crashed as soon as i did that, i read it could be an intel HD issue but i run AMD and dont have intel, i thought it was a one drive issue so got rid of that, stil crashes, i dont really know where i stand with it, should i do a MSCONFIG and if so what am i looking to do in it. it can stay i bios and in windows 10 before logging in with out crashing what so ever, its been sat for the past hour fine but its as soon as i log in to my account it all starts going wrong should i create a new fourm about this? its kind of gone off topic from the original issue
