Hi all,

I would like to ask about fan.. I have Corsair 500R. And I want to put a Fan Controller - NZXT Sentry 2 http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/77-sentry-2-fan-control.html. My question is should I get PWM fans like corsair SP120?

And is it ok to change the default fan on H100i?

Please I need your opinion and inputs. Thanks in advance guys! 😀

Solution
Pretty much any fan you get will perform worse than the stock h100i fans. They are loud for a reason.

The whole point of a controller is that you can control NON-PWM fans. Getting PWM fans for a controller is pointless.
Can you change the fans on the H100i? Yes you can, but I wouldn't. I have the H80 and H80i. I have looked into trying to find better fans for use on the radiator, I failed. I found that the fans supplied are already really quiet when running slowly and was hard pressed to find a fan with higher air flow at full speed. Ultimately I chose to stick with the supplied fans and configure the fan controller to give me the best comprimise.

I see. How about the fans in my case 500R? Does that mean I can connect any fan with the fan controller? I thought it should be something like PWM fans..?

I dont mind if its loud or not, but what I have atm is perfectly fine, its quiet XD..

I see, if the controller is intended for a NON-PWM fans, then what of the PWM fans?
