so i recently installed a new corsair h100i v2 for my build and it seems that the cpu fan header dosent work, the water pump header seems to put out some electrical current but not enough so it spazzes out, and then the cpu opt works completely fine except that i can get the h100i v2 to actually cool the cpu. no idea as to what i need to do to fix this if its the h100i v2 or if its the motherboard, any ideas?

thats the thing though it has a three pin connector which goes on to the cpu fan/ cpu opt. the issue is the cpu fan directs no power when the three pin connector is on it, but when its on the cpu opt its gets power but the pump isnt working i guess since no matter where i place it, it never cools down the cpu so i always have to wait for it to cool down before i can start working on it again. and actually the entire system itself connects to a usb header on my motherboard.

OK y'all. The H100iV2 is powered by the fan header. That's how it works. There is no connection to the PSU.

You need to set the CPU header to full power, 100% ... the exact terminology varies by motherboard manufacturer. This will supply the full 12V of power to the pump that it needs to function properly.

If it's an Asus motherboard, you can disable Q-Fan Control for the CPU Fan header.
