Okay so here's one for you guys. My cpu is making a clicking noise as if something it hitting it. A bad barring or something it touching it right? Nope. I clean my computer regularly and the CPU is less than a year old. I can handle the noise, it's what the noise is causing that is concerning me.
This problem all started when I was putting in some RAM and a few harddrives. After I put in my new hardware, I noticed that my computer was lagging. I would move the mouse and there would but a stutter form time to time. I would play a YouTube video and it was go go go lag go go go. Dropping frames every 3 seconds or so. What's more is that the sound would stop and make a "brrr" sound like the pitch would hang and sound electronic sound. This didn't only happen when I would play a video, I also noticed that this sound would hang like I described when I would preform an action and the Windows indicator sound would charm and that charm would sometimes also hang and make the electronic sound. Weird. So I know that it's not directly related to graphics. But if it helps any, games are unplayable. I was running Skyrim and I had FRAPS running. I was getting a solid 60 fps for a few second and then it would drop to like 40 and then jump back up to 60.
Okay, so go I decided to open my computer case and I hear that clicking sound I was talking about more precise when under pressure. But get this! Whenever my computer lags, I am also noticing that the clicking sound is making a noise. So somehow those two things are related.
I closed it back up and restarted my computer and now my computer is running with the solid frames that it should, but I can still hear the sound but a little lighter.
I am not sure what to do from here. Should I replace just the fan, is my CPU alright, what about my motherboard.
Because I know it's going to be asked, here are my specs:
AMD FX 8350 Eight-Core Processor clocked at 4.00 GHz
32 GIG of Ram
GTX 970 Processor.
Windows 7 - 64 bit
700w Power Supply
I also thought I would share my computer temperatures. First picture is idle. Second is under a stress test

Update: After I ran the stress test, I noticed the sound was getting louder and the test was bringing my temperature to 70c before I closed it.
I know this was wordy, I hope you guys can help
