Maybe, but I would recommend connecting it to a system fan header and use a splitter if you need to.

-Just to avoid the possible issues that may arise from having two different fans spinning at two different RPM's or one using PWM and the other using voltage control.

The BIOS may want to "alert" you to a fan error, or it may also be incapable of using PWM on one CPU header and voltage control on the other CPU header.

Using a splitter on a chassis fan header will avoid all these possible issues, but if you feel like experimenting, your MB may see the different fan and it without a single complaint.
