I have the 8120 and its a great processor (non of you idiot intel fan boys write "oh that cpu isnt good enough for gaming" it is and apparently anywhere I post that I have it some one has to say that) but my cpu sits idle at 56 c but its fan speed is at 6800-7200 rpm. I was wondering why its spinning so fast or why its so loud at that speed. I already returned my shitty psu that was really loud but i still have this cpu issue

The 8120 isn't good enough for gaming... LOL Sorry, I had to.

Seriously, it sounds like your HSF isn't seated very well or the thermal paste is screwed somehow, if it's idling that hot. That's why the fan is so loud, of course. It's futilely trying to cool the CPU, when it can't.

Well I did put the cooler on awkwardly but right now I'm doing a stress test on the CPU too see how hot it gets, but if it gets really hot ill scrape off the compound and put on some stuff I bought for ab older CPU

alright i freshly applied my thermal paste and now maxed out running prime 95 for a few mins with air cooling and it levels off at 69-70 with fresh paste and like high 40s, so if artic silver is right in 200 hours my cpu will drop atleast 10 degrees at the same fan speed

It won't be 10C cooler. They say 3-5C, but my own experience shows that it's really more like 1-3C.
