CPU fan RPM decreased a lot in 2 days at 100%

I am using speedfan to manually control fan speed and everything is good. While gaming the RPM peaked at 3500 and usually stayed at 3100 (2 days back) and showed 100% fan speed. Now at the same temperature the RPM peaks at 2600 for few seconds and stays at 2100 which is a big drop. Is my fan wearing off or is this an issue with the reading?

I really don't see a place for speedfan in this era of computing. Is there a profile for your MoBo ? Today's MoBos come with a utility suite which, on all but the lowest budget tier, included fan seed control. The utility that comes with your MoBo is specific to **your MoBo's** BIOS control features for fan speeds and as such provides far more control options than 3rd party utilities.

use the gpu maker software to control is fan speed you will have better result then speedfan .

Actually I see that the RPM has decreased. 2 days back while gaming RPM readings went from 2600-3050-3500 (usually staying at 3100) at 100% and now even while gaming at 100% on same temperature the RPM reads 2100 and sometimes 2600 before going back to 2100. Not sure if this is an issue with the readings or my CPU fan is wearing off.

that cooler is oem when was last time you did replace paste also check if it is not moving from cpu base .
