Question CPU Fan speed increases amd decreases

CPU:C2Q Q6600
Heatsink:0.2A D60188

Temps are okay,but fan speed goes from 2500 to 2000 RPM (while gaming) and its causing VERY annoying noise,anybody knows why is this happening,and how to fix it?

EDIT:Forgot to mention,CPU is running at stock speeds

Happens to me as well on my older(not using it anymore) c2q q8200 I think I did some fan settings in bios to not have big jumps in fan speed. Or set target temperature to some other temp and it could keep running more consistently.

Okay so here is what happens
I couldnt find desired temp option or jump in fan speed
But what I did was setting it to work quietly
Temps are okay,noise is present but alot quieter since now rpms jump from 1700 to 1800

I was messing around the bios and saw these 2 options
SMART Fan start PWM value
SMART Fan start TEMP . (C)
Is that what im looking for If I want to set desired temp?
