cpu fan speed

hi all

i dont no if i am missing somthing simple but i cant seen to find out how to change my freezer 7's fan speed, ho would i go about doing this?

usually, you can't change cpu fan speed through the software or bios. a few motherboards have the chipset to be able to do this, but not many.

the best way to do it is to get an external fan control switch. they are usually ~$6.

I had this same problem. I found that if you set the fan speed to manual in the bios, then you can change the speed using speedfan.

90%+ of the newer boards have settings for fan speeds. Read the Mobo manual. You can set low speed temp and high speed temp etc, and set the % of RPM.

Or you can download SpeedFan and use that to set a CPU fan profile that will override the BIOS settings.
