Hey, I'm in desperate need of help.
I've had my PC for around 2 years now with little problem, and the past week I've been playing The Elder Scrolls Online quite a bit (4+ hours at a time). Everything was running fine, but last night my PC just black screened and rebooted while I was playing. I thought nothing of it because it had never happened before, so I logged back an and booted up ESO again for the same thing to happen. I thought it might have just been because I was playing an intensive game, so I went to bed and left my PC overnight. This morning it booted up fine and I thought the problem was gone, but when I clicked on a facebook game the CPU fan surged and the PC black screened and rebooted again, except this time when it rebooted the monitor was still black as if the monitor wire was loose. I checked that and it was all fine. So I began to try other alternatives, I cleaned both of my Ram sticks and made sure all of my fans were properly cleaned/had no dust in them and it loaded up again. Since I thought I knew a bit about PCs, I assumed the fan speeding up was because of heat issues so I ran Speedfan and it showed that my CPU cores were idling at around 28c so that can't be the problem. My graphics card was idling at around 36c so I assume that cannot be the problem either. So now I am stumped. My PC sometimes boots up and the temperatures remain the same, increasing by a couple of degrees if I run tasks on the PC. But then after 10mins of activity the CPU fan surges again and the PC reboots with a black screen then won't start for another 15-20mins. I assume it might have something to do with my power supply, but as far as I'm aware the PSU I have is more than enough to power all of my components.
PSU - Cooler Master 750W (Low noise)
CPU - Intel i5 3570K - (4 x 3.4 GHZ) - Ivy Bridge
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (Intel B75)
GPU - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 - 1280 MB (EVGA)
RAM - 8 GB 1333 MHZ (2x4GB) - (DDR3)
CPU Heatsink - Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev 2 CPU Cooler
If you require any more info, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm in desperate need of assistance from someone.
Thanks in advance,
Kieran.
