Question CPU fan y-cable missing wire and pin.

My CPU cooler (Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE A-RGB Dual Tower Air Cooler) for my upcoming build arrived today and, if I'm understanding everything correctly, I connect the 2 fans to a y-cable which then connects to the motherboard. However, while one of the 2 inputs to the y-cable has 4 individual wires with pins, the other only has 3 with a clear slot for where another would go. Is this an error? Should I be concerned? Will it still work or should I request a replacement?

That is normal. Only one fan can provide RPM info back to the motherboard.
