Hi.
Recently i bought a new pc with a i3 8100. And when i got into the bios i put the cpu stock fan to max speed because its summer and in my country the temps are 30-40 degrees celcius. Is there any downfalls if i put the stock fan at max speed.
I put the case fans to max speed aswell bcs my processor is warm when i play games like csgo or fortnite. While i am playing it reaches to 70degrees celcius. i dont want it to be warm so what can i do?

Solution
Getting such a high temperature will only affect the life of the fan, noise and electricity consumption.
I would rather suggest to set it to auto and use it unless you really have no other choice. But in those cases, I would look into getting more fans to move the hot air out of the case better.
there are two downsides to setting all your fans to highest speed

they will wear out faster (not really an issue, depending on quality)

and noise

there are other things you can look too;

optimize your airflow - try to have a push pull airflow going

leave your case open

minimize cable clutter inside your case it gimps your airflow (more then ppl think)
