Could you post your system components with model #s.
this is a feature called "fast startup" with this feature on, your pc never really turns off, instead it goes into a very lower power stateAfter I shut down my pc my cpu fans and lights are kept on
Disabled the fast startup
Turned off the hibernation
Remover cmos battery
Actually, I tried all the methods you have said but the problem is not solvedthis is a feature called "fast startup" with this feature on, your pc never really turns off, instead it goes into a very lower power state
this feature is on by default
to turn off click start type control panel
then click power options
then click "choose what power buttons do" located in the top left
then click "change settings that are currently unavailable" at the top and uncheck "turn on fast startup"
its much easier to go in via control panel then to search for power options and adjust via the new interface IMO
Sorry...Lenovo makes hundreds of computer models, which one do you have?
try updating bios
update chipset drivers for motherboard.
what are details of the PC?
ok but how to update biosis this right model? https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/au/en/...hinkcentre-m-series-desktops/thinkcentre-m71e
if that is right model, the last update for it was 2012 so I doubt a bios update will help. If its worked perfectly fine until now, its not going to be the fix.
this is same topic as one of your other threads so I am going to merge it into it.
I don't think BIOS update will help. If PC has run fine until now, it shouldn't need it.
Try my power plan thing.
Agreeit could be the psu since I assume its same age as everything else in PC.
right click start button
choose powershell (admin)
type SFC /scannow and press enter
once its completed, copy/paste this command into same window:
Repair-WindowsImage -Online -RestoreHealth
and press enter
SFC fixes system files, second command cleans image files, re run SFC if it failed to fix all files and restart PC
Try running windows update, there is one version after the one you on.
Launch CMD as administrator
Type the following command then press enter: shutdown /p and then press Enter.
