My CoolerMaster V8 is making a flapping noise. This started recently. My temperatures seem to be alright. I'm using an i5 750 at standard speed, and I get ~55-60 C while gaming, or using intense applications, and it's about 35 C idle. However, it can get to ~ 80 C during Intel Burn Tests, but I'm personally not concerned about that since I don't do anything that intensive and during the most extreme of my day to day activities it stays around 65 C.

So, my question is, is this noise harmless or an early sign that my fan is failing? Should I get a new one ASAP or wait and see?

It sounds like its barely hitting something but due to the design of the CoolerMaster V8, I can't see into it.

Hello Chris8282,

It possible that the fan is defective. If you purchase the V8 less than two year ago then please fill out the part request form so we can send you a replacement fan.
