will a Barton 3000mhz socket 462 work with the above motherboard

I have looked at the CPU support list for your motherboard and found that yes, that processor is supported by the ECS 741GX-M.

I got a Athlon Barton AXDA2800KVKV4D CPU AND TRIED IT AND WILL NOT WORK

I didn't know if it was bad or maybe AMD Athlon Barton xp would not work

The processor is probably dead then, you could try a BIOS update.

thanks for the answer I did't know if this motherboard would support barton cpu maybe I could not use cpu above 2800 mhz
