Hello, i've a computer with this motherboard ( ASRock G41C-GS )

Actual CPU : DualCore Intel Pentium E5200, 1600 MHz (8 x 200)

What's the best cpu LGA775 For this motherboard?

I need to change the M.Ram? i've this : DIMM1: 2x2 4 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM

Thanks!!

a core 2 quad would be the best for the 775 ..get the q6600 or q9550 and really i would invest much in that motherbvoard because its obsolete .. if you were to upgrade the ram i would suggest getting hyper x kingston ddr2 1066 supm like 8gb

your motherboard supports Core 2 Extreme / Core 2 Quad / Core 2 Duo / Pentium Dual Core / Celeron Dual Core / Celeron .

what is your budget for the CPU ?

And for normal use of PC you dont need extra ram and if you update your ram then ditch the old ram and get a 4gb ddr3 ram your board supports both ddr 2 and 3 ram.

Though I would suggest you to do a full upgrade a h97 motherboard with a i3 or i5 processor and 4 gb ram.

I was checking all the solutions u give to me, i think i'll get a DDR3 Ram, and ...

What do you think about this CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Dual-Core 3.0GHz 4M L2 Cache 1333MHz FSB LGA775?

I've 1 E5200, I'll notice the boost?

that core 2 duo is weak .. i suggest you go for a e7200 and up if you want a core 2 duo ... they are really cheap i literally got one for $8 on ebay .,. you really better of with a core 2 quad as is uggested in the previous post .. if you was to do a whole upgrade it would be much better for you if you dont have the money then get a core 2 quad q9550 which is a quad core cpu which still performs super in modern applications

yes you will definitely notice a boost with e6850 here is a comparison scroll down for specifications.

Solution
the core 2 quads are going for like 40 bucks on ebay while the weaker core 2 duos are like $7 to $20 ..its better if you get the core 2 duo e7200 or something higher likee 8400 those two beats the the cpu you are asking a bout by a big margin

the e8500 is the fastest in the core 2 duo series but its really hard to find .. i would buy one but the quad core would be better for you if you really need to some games ... the socket is kibda old but if you equip it with the right hardware it can still do modern games and other heavy stuff ... being clear e8500 = good , q9550 =way better for only about $20 or $30 more ..it dont hurt having 4 cores does it

i dont think it will run better i know it will .. infact believe or not alot of games recommend a q6600 or better cpu to run them ..
the quad core cpu have more cores than the dual core therefore can do more simultaneous work and multithreaded application way faster ..
