Question CPU for BFV DXR

I'm just wondering what people's experiences are CPU wise using DXR in BFV.

I'm really happy with the performance on my RTX 2080, usually seeing ~80fps with DXR Medium at 3440x1440 but anywhere between 60 and 90. But it can occasionally be a bit glitchy, stuttering/hanging for a second or so especially not long after starting a round when things are still loading. I'm putting that down to my 8600k just not having enough cores as DICE said they were "going wide" with the amount of cores they want for DXR... the recommended CPU is the 8700. CPU usage is absolutely solid 100% in game (hitting 90c but that's another issue, not sure if it should be that hot with cryorig H7 at 4.7GHz?!)

This is backed up by PC Gamer's testing below with the 6c 8400 having crappy lows...

SO.... back to this argument... not sure if I would be better off with a 6c/12t 8700K or 8c/8c 9700K in this particular case, thinking the 8700k so the came can "go wide" as much as possible? Anyone have any experiences with both to compare?
Another spanner in the works is the strong DXR performance of the 2700X here too... may be worth waiting til 3000 series to see if they even overtake Intel which is sounding likely!

Ok, so I suppose you want a CPU to pair with your RTX 2080Ti, you can take the Ryzen 7 2700X for your BfV too, your choice, but For gaming Intel CPU's are the best for pairing with a 2080(Ti), Only if you have a good budget though.
I would recommend waiting for Ryzen's 3rd gen series as well, but if you don't want to wait you can go with the i7 9700k first, because it's a newer generation and second because it's got more Physical Cores, and those matter more than the threads....
that's all I will say for now...
Peace out ☮
