[SOLVED] CPU for cs:go

Hello!

I am buying pc for mainly playing cs:go and im playing only with low settings but i need maximum fps becouse playing with 240hz monitor so and my question is should i upgrade from i7-4770k to i5-8400 becouse i5-8400 has 6 core-s would it be alot of fps boost? does someone know if the cs:go even would use the 2 extra core-s?

The i5-8400 is faster, but not by a lot. I would say that's not a worth-while upgrade unless you get the i5-8600K/9600K and go to 5.0GHz. But honestly your i7-4770K shouldn't have any issue with CSGO.

As far as I know cs go can only use up to 4 cores/threads and is very impacted by single core performance. Therefore an overclocked 4770k should outperform a 8400.
