I currently have the AMD A10-7870K with the Gigabyte F2A68HM-S1 Board. Is it worth upgrading to the I7 3770 with a mobo for nearly $200? I mainly game PUBG and CSGO. What FPS should I expect with my upgrade? I have a 1x8gb 1333mhz RAM and a GTX 1050

for that upgrade you need a graphics card for sure otherwise you will get terrible fps and may be PUBG may not even open. Select a gpu and probably it is GTX1050 ti at least. But what is your monitor resolution and target game quality (i.e. low/med/high setting you r expecting to play) and frame rate?

Oh yes, I forgot to add. I actually have a GTX 1050 Already. Target quality is just anything playable above 60fps with no stutters. I have a 1080p 60hz monitor

i7 3770 is almost 50% faster cpu than a a10 7870K. A10 is a good apu but it is significantly slower in terms of CPU power and I doubt that currently your A10 is bottle-necking the 1050ti. To check it just install afterburner and on onscreen display and check cpu and gpu usage. If cpu is at 95%+ level and your GPU is at below say 85-90% when vsync is off then it is bottle-necking.

It is a 1050 non-ti. And GPU usage is not even reaching 40-50%. But in terms of upgrading, it wouldn't bottleneck my GPU, won't it? I was also planning on moving to Intel for gaming, as old AMD is just meh

Haha A10 severely bottle necking so go for 3770 it will push that card to 100% easily. Also at $200 you also need a mobo. Now check if it is cheap as a combo or not

There's one seller selling i7-3770 with mobo + ram for almost $200, while disregarding the ram, it'll be almost $170 or so

Model of MOBO? You need the mobo only since you have the ram. However what is your ram and its a single or dual stick?

Not yet sure of the Mobo. But he says it's a "gaming board". I have a Kingston 1x8gb 1333mhz

There is nothing called gaming board or gaming ram etc just marketing gimmick. Just ask him the model no of the board and check few reviews of that board before purchase.

Ikr. I just saw it from a picture he sent me. It's a MSI Z68A-G43 (B3)
