CPU for Gateway DX4860-UB20P

I am trying to upgrade the CPU on my Gateway DX4860-UB20P. Originally I was set to buy the Intel core i5 3570, but there was conflicting information on the internet whether it would work or not. So I am wondering if that CPU is compatible with my computer, it has an H67 motherboard. If you have any other suggestions my budget is $200-250.

Howdy.
You would need a BIOS update which will then enable support for the Ivy Bridge CPU you are trying to use.
According to the manufacturer you will need BIOS ver P03.A3
