I am planning on building a new computer with GTX 1060 6gb, and im not sure should i buy a i5-6500/i5-6600 or i5-6600k. I know i need different motherboard and a some kind of cooler with the 6600k which makes it bit more expensive, but im ready to use more money if its worth it. So the question is, is the 6600k worth to buy with the 1060, or will there be some kind of bottleneck?

Solution
Step one, relax. lol
That said, I'd grab the 6600k. It's 20$ more, but even if you're not overclocking at this time it provides 2 benefits people typically dont look at. 1) is resale value. K series hold their value much better than their non k variants. 2) stock clocks on the K series are faster.

One drawback, the 6500 will come with a cooler, the 6600k will not. In reality, getting a good 30$ cooler will raise the price a bit more, but its something you should use anyway, as the stock intel coolers are LOUD.

Don't worry about bottle necks. The 6600k is a fantastic match for the 1060.
