Jordan is the name, modding Skyrim is my game XD. Which CPU should i get for modding Skyrim, recording, and playing a bunch of other games. i7 4790 or i5 4690?
I have a 4790K OC'd to 4.8GHz and on games like Project Cars and Assetto Corsa (Both CPU heavy games) I rarely utilize more than 40% of my CPU and my temps are in the low 50's. I'd get a 4690K and put the rest into a good GPU.
Well im currently playing skyrim with over 80 mods on a overclocked amd fx 6350 and it barely touchs my cpu. Point being any modern cpu will be fine the i7 or i5 is more than enough. A modded skyrim will put a gpu through its paces not so much a cpu.

If you are recording game play then I recommend a core i7 since Hyper Thread will help alleviate the load (game and video recording) on the 4 physical cores. If you are strictly playing games, then getting a core i5 would be more than enough.
