CPU for streaming

Hello. What cpu do you need for streaming a ps3 gameplay in 720p to twitch?

You still need one, but it won't need to be as good. I believe that it's just better to get a good CPU, as it will serve you for everything, but that's my opinion.

You'll also need the rest of the PC, obviously.
You could get a cheap CPU, for about $70 or $80, plus a capture card for about $150 or something, so $230, plus the rest of the components...
Or you could get a good CPU for about $185, plus the rest of the components.

Think I'm gonna go with the Intel Core i5-4670 with Avermedia Live HD capture card. Or will it be a bit overkill?

But im gonna record my ps3, so I gonna go with the avermedia anyways. because all hd capture cost around the same.

if your recording consoles and not recording the game on the pc while playing it on the pc then a nice pc is not required at all. you could get an i3 and just use the capture card. if you want to record pc games then an i5 or fx 6300 or fx 8350 will all be great for it.
