CPU FPS Drop

Hello I have a weird problem with my computer It drops has a weird cpu drop. When I am playing a game it will be at 2.7 GHZ and then .7 GHZ it last for a minute and then it returns to normal. Please I need help with this badly.

Have you tried raising your minimum power percentage for your CPU in the control panel. If you don't do this, your computer will use the minimum amount of processor power as possible, which may explain the drop in performance.

(Please note: If you set your minimum input to 100%, your computer will get extremely hot, extremely fast without the correct cooling equipment. If you use this, make sure your cooling policy is set to 'Active', NOT 'Passive' in advanced power settings. I have my minimum set to 50%, so I have an equal balance between performance and heat level.)
