Question Cpu generation compatibility

I m currently thinking of buying a new Mobo but I'm just not too sure i really like this Mobo:
BIOSTAR H310MHD PRO DDR4 8TH-GEN LGA1151 MATX
I was searching for a CPU and I was told that this Mobo can support 9th gen CPUs so I'm not really sure I'm confused ..

It definitely supports 9th gen CPUs (as well as 8th gen CPUs).

Out of the box, the motherboard supports 8th generation Intel CPUs for sure, and with a BIOS update, the motherboard can support both 8th and 9th generation processors.

That motherboard may come with support for 8th gen only CPUs and need an older CPU to update the bios for 9th gen CPU support. That motherboard may ship with a later BIOS and work with 9th generation CPUs.

A new motherboard will already have the current bios levels at the time of manufacture.
Unless you get very old stock, you should be fine.
