So... Now almost 3 months ago I bought a MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti Gaming X 4G and i got a problem now. Yes, before you ask me if i connected the GPU right into the monitor, yes it is. I have a VGA AOC monitor and this video card doesn't have a VGA slot and i bought an adaptor Hdmi->Vga for 1080p ( because my monitor hax maximum resolution 1920x1080 ) .
I will show you my full SPECS now :
-> 8 Gb Ram DDR3 1600MHz ( limited to 1333 by the processor )
-> MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Gaming X 4G
-> Intel Core I3 2100 @ 3.10 GHz ( Sandy Bridge )
-> 550W PSU
-> 1TB Hdd 7200R/m
-> MSI B75MA-E33 (motherboard)

Now here's the problem : my pc runs like shit in some games. For example in WoW it depends of the place where i am. I have from 30 to 80 but mostly like 40-50 and it is verry stuttering. I have low fps even in League of Legends, after i play 20-30 minutes, i am getting even 40frames dropped from 120. I can run games like CS GO on full ULTRA Specifications and get a stable 90-100fps, i can play GTA V full ultra settings on 35-40 FPS but i am old games player, i would rather play WoW all my life instead of new games. My Processor is 6 years old ( that's when i got it ) and i was thinking that it is pretty tires and bottleneck my GPU, but if it would be the problem, why CS GO runs so well ? My previous Graphic Card was a Radeon R7 250 OC 2gb gddr3 128 bits and it was giving me better FPS in WoW than this 1050Ti even if that's so many times lower than the GTX. Can someone explain me why am i getting low fps with this video card ? My CPU Temperature in games doesn't pass 55 celsius and GPU doesn't pass 45-50. Can this GTX be broken somehow ? I didn't overclockex it or smth, i used MSI Afterburner just to set its fans to 50% cause i didn't like the temperature in idle. If it would be the GPU, should i use my warranty ? Any ideas ? In my opinion, the CPU is the problem but i am not sure.

well.. the games that you mentioned that run poorly on your PC are actually Heavily Dependant on your CPU... and it being 2nd gen i3 when we are already at 8gen... would really point the finger at it in either case.

If you want to get better performance you would either... try find an i7 used on ebay or elsewhere (best $ for performance upgrade in your case). or you pickup a new gen system, could do budget i3 - 8gen (damn they`re 4 core CPUs!)

im sure if you use software to monitor your system load, your CPU will always be at 100% usage

and the reason you may see performance differences in the games between AMD and nVidia GPU is because they just work a little differently, im sure the FPS difference is very small in either case.

I dont think you need to worry about your GPU. But, definetly

1.check how hot your CPU is getting, when the issues start
2. Clean out your PC from dust
3. run Adaware or Malaware removal software to make sure you dont have anythhing holding your system back

if you are having some performance issues after playing for a while, definetly check the heat. And as far as OVERALL perofrmance goes.. I think the CPU need an upgrade dual core 2nd gen... it`s quite weak for today`s standards. But useable it is

I did it. I looked up the temperature and the usage in WoW for example, it had 55 celsius and the cpu usage was on 45%, same in League of Legends ( i checked them when i got fps drops as hell ) . I am not begginer or something like that in hardwer, i came here because i am scarred that i may miss something. I keep my PC clean of dust, i don't force it or anything.. I even switch the thermal paste from 5 to 5 months on the processor just to be sure that he is okay. I don't get way the PC doesn't use the processor at 80-90%, never saw it in 100% , at least in these games. I was thinking of buying an I 5 7400 series, what do you think about it ? Will it fit nice with this video card ? Also need to change motherboard if i want new peocessor cause that 1155 socket doesn't exist anymore on processors..

well.. honestly... we are looking at CPU heavy games that you are having problems with... So it really points at CPU. at this point.. you are looking at either i7-2600 or a budget i5-8400 build (with windows 10 🙁 )

another thing you should do is download MSI afterburner, and use it`s logs to see what actually happens when your system runs into slow downs. sometimes you don`t see things as they happen, logs could help see issues
