Hey fast one here i have i7 4790k 4ghz and i wanna know if gtx1060 would be good pair for this cpu will it bottle neck cpu / gpu and also will evga 850w psu do the trick for power?

Solution
Your i7-4790K will be a good pairing with a GTX 1060, or an RX480/580, or a GTX 1070, or a GTX 1080, or even a GTX 1080Ti.

The choice of the GPU would now entirely depend on the monitor's resolution and refresh rate you are using.

1080p/60Hz --> GTX 1060 or RX 480/580
1080p/120Hz or 1440p/60Hz --> GTX 1070
1080p/144Hz or 1440p/120Hz --> GTX 1080
1440p/144Hz or 4K/60Hz --> GTX 1080Ti
*The above guide considers ~AAA gaming in High-ish to Ultra-ish settings (but also depends on the specific games and in-game graphics settings)

For the PSU, the EVGA 850W is overkill for your i7-4790K + any of the GPUs mentioned...
This would be a good combo. However, if possible try to get the GTX 1070 to get the most benefits. Not saying the 1060 is bad, it's just that with a high power CPU, it would be a better fit for a similar high powered GPU.

Again, the GTX 1060 will be a good fit for that CPU, as long as it's the 6GB version.

For the PSU, the EVGA 850W is overkill for your i7-4790K + any of the GPUs mentioned above. I'd consider only the 850W PSU if I'm thinking of SLI'ing the GTX 1080 Ti.

A good-quality 550W should be more than enough for any of the aforementioned GPU to pair with your CPU. If you like EVGA, I suggest looking at the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 or G3 550W (7-year warranty). Another alternative is the Seasonic G-550 (5-year warranty). If you have budget to spend, consider also the Corsair RM550x (10-year warranty)

Solution
4790K will even handle GTX 1080 without bottleneck. If you can afford a 1070 then you should totally get it. You get most fps for your money. If not 6GB GTX 1060 or 8GB RX 480 is obvious choice. Asus, MSI, newer EVGA cards perform pretty well keeping Pascal GPU's cool.
