Hi all,

My pc has recently begun to perform much worse than previously, I have restored the pc, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers etc but cannot seem to get it to run effectively. I have gone through Userbencmark which said that my CPU and GPU are running much lower than expected, in particular my processor in quadcore (only getting 64%).

Im really at the end of my technological skill here so would love any advice, also, if anyone could help me with overclocking it'd be much appreciated as I wonder whether this is throwing off the benchmark of my CPU (eg. most people overclock but I havn't).

Specs:
rtx 2080
it 9700k
Z390 Aorus Elite
16GB DDR4

User Benchmark results:

UserBenchmarks: Game 109%, Desk 89%, Work 47%
CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K - 68.7%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 - 144.8%
SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB - 118.9%
SSD: Crucial MX500 1TB - 115.4%
RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB - 96%
MBD: Gigabyte GA-Z390 AORUS ELITE-CF

Yep that's it. Did you have a bunch of stuff open the first time? Then your cpu did bad, second time it did good.

Both times your GPU was your weakest link but it's not aweful if stock clocked and a non factory oced card.

Have msi afterburner open and see what the cpu and GPU clock speeds are when under load. (Temps as well)

Sorry for the delay, I just got back and did a run, this time the cpu says its fine but the 2080 is underperforming:

UserBenchmarks: Game 126%, Desk 104%, Work 102%
CPU: Intel Core i7-9700K - 114.9%
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 - 152.7%
SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB - 98.4%
SSD: Crucial MX500 1TB - 114.7%
RAM: Kingston HyperX DDR4 3200 C16 2x8GB - 103%
MBD: Gigabyte GA-Z390 AORUS ELITE-CF

Any idea, would it be worth trying to overclock the cpu? would you be able to help me as I've tried but cant workout how to do it and don want to break anything.

many thanks
