Question CPU/GPU question

It really depends on which resolution you want to play with, graphics quality and especially the game itself...

you could achieve like 500fps on a (terrible) game like CSGO provided there wasn't a cap, but doesnt matter how good your rig is, you'll likely never reach that much in.. say... assassins creed on ultra @ 4k/1440p

also, gotta know how much you're willing to spend... right off the bat if you have enough cash the best/mainstream combo nowadays is a 9700k/RTX 2080TI/32GB DDR 3200+... (9900k if you're filthy rich, otherwise not worth it)

I am making a pc for the first time and am a scrub, 2500$ is my limit for the entire PC build. As for not being able to play all games at 144hz I don’t mind mainly because in the future upgrading will be a pain. Was going to go with 1080p 240hz but I think I prefer 1440 p At 144hz.
That being said I’d like to play games like WW3,Arma,for honor, rainbow 6, and mmo lites at high frame rates.

you know, from 60 to 144 theres a clear difference, probably something in between the 60-100fps, i doubt there will be anything noticeable within the 100-240 range... so its a bit of a moot point... stick to anything @ 144hz, and for the 1440p resolution, the 2080 non ti will do the trick ust nicely, some games will run by the 80's fps wich is already fantastic, some will do the 110~144, the less demanding ones of course. you'll be fine.

thanks, are these parts easily interchangeable with other parts just in case I upgrade in the future .also could you try making a similar build but for 2000$.

(1500$ budget, 2000$ absolute max) already have a monitor in mind but I need every part for a pc. I need it to be 144hz at 1440p.have a preference of intel, mainly because I do not know how to over lock and I am hearing amd are better if overclocked. I also would like parts that can be easily changed or upgraded in the future. I don’t want a rare exotic piece that only has a couple options to switch. Like I can change single parts rather than mobo too

Just a switch. I wouldn't recommend going about it like that tho - you'll lose $ on the sale of the old cpu. Better to front the money and get 9900k from the start. But, I think the real 8 cores of the 9700k will be good for many years to come (then again, 6 cores are being heavily utilized in some titles...).

ok so basically everything you put on the build but just get i9 instead of i7?
And when you say 6 cores are heavily used in some titles, does that mean 8 cores work as well for those games?

It will but theres no guarantee of 144fps in all titles. But, if you get a gsync or adaptive sync compatible monitor it’ll still be smooth.

Like I said, 8 cores should be fine for the future, but I aaid that about 4 cores when I picked a 3570k over a 3770k and I was wrong there towards then end of its life.

If you don't wanna upgrade over longer period of time then I recommend i9-9900K and RTX2080Ti combo. If uou wanna upgrade over time I recommend going with Ryzen setup over Intel.

You can upgrade CPU, RAM ans Storage as per your requirement over Time. If you only plan on upgrading GPU I still recommend going with Intel build.
