Long story short, I've been having this issue for a while:

I used to be able to open and load websites/pages almost instantly with no delay. However, sometimes when I load a site everything shows up (like images, text, etc) but my entire browser is frozen (except my cursor), then everything goes black except my taskbar for a second or two, then the site works fine. From what I've tried testing, it seems to only do it when the page that I'm opening as a video of some sort trying to autoplay (like YouTube videos, Netflix previews, or even tiny ads on some sites).

I've asked on other threads about this and did the suggestions, but I'm still getting it and I think that I've narrowed the problem down to either my hard drive, cpu, or mobo.

At this point, I'm wondering if there is a program that can scan the aforementioned parts and see if which of them is my issue. I have a spare mobo I could replace my current one with, but I don't want to do it and have the problematic part be a different one.

Thanks!

I believe this to be a problem with your hard drive. I had a hdd in my laptop and it became soo slow that the computer was unusable taking nearly 10 minutes to boot. I replaced my hdd with a newer low end ssd and it boots now in under 2 minutes. A new hdd in the laptop made it slower than the ssd but faster than the old hdd. Most modern computers should have an ssd to speed things up since even the fastest brand new hdds cant come close to matching an ssds performance. How much is your budget to fix this. You could drop in a 500gb Crucial mx500 ssd for $67 (amazon) and mirror your old hdd over to it as long as the files would fit. That would make your computer perform better than it ever would with an hdd.

I've never owned/used an ssd instead of an hdd. The hdd I have is an older one, I migrated it from my old desktop that I had a long time ago, so I guess I would be due for an upgrade. My budget for a replacement would be around $150 I guess, but how would I mirror it? (again, I've never replaced an hdd/ssd)

I tried disabling crossfire, it still did it. I had also tried switching out for a different card and it still happens.

I've ordered an ssd and it should come in a day or two, but yesterday I got a very unsettling screen while using my desktop. All of my monitors when completely white except for one which had thin, blue vertical lines. I had music playing and i could hear it still playing for about 10 seconds, then the horrible sound of freezing and I had to force shut down. I've decided to live off my laptop in the meantime so it doesn't break any further.

I also figured I would replace my mobo with the new one I have in case that's somehow the problem.

Well..
I've installed, mirrored, and tested my new ssd and I'm still getting the freeze/black screen issue.
On the bright side, my pc starts in literally seconds and loading things is EXTREMELY fast, but I'm still seeing my freezing issue. :/

After some research I found that it's only doing it when Chrome's "hardware acceleration" is on; however, when it's switched to off all shows/movies/videos lag or stutter a little.

I guess as this point the question is how to fix this?
