Cpu heat issues

Hi I have a AMD Ryzen 7 2700x cpu in a gigabyte X470 motherboard. I built this pc new and finished it yesterday. As I turned it on I downloaded my usual stuff and decided to download core temp to make sure my cpu is running cool. That’s when I realised that my pc was idling at the 40 degrees. The problem is when I just play school it goes up to 91 at max but is normally at 80. Is this bad? Have I done something wrong installing.

I don’t know what you mean by seat but yes I did put thermal paste. I have 4 case fans going. 1 in taking from the front. 2 exhausting just above the cooler at the top. And one exhausting just next to the cooler out the back. And this is celsius

Those temperatures seem normal to me. You're home is insulated well I'm assuming because my AMD FX-9590 runs idle about 35-45 degrees Celsius. However, if your CPU runs above 85 degrees I'm surprised your PC doesn't shut down due to the overheating. Does this occur with other games?

What are your PC Specs.

I have only run csgo as I’m afraid for it getting to hot. When I’m just loading up Fortnite it hit a maximum of 92 degrees!

My pc specs are
Gigabyte X470 motherboard
AMD Ryzen 7 2700x
4 Corsair case coolers
A Corsair carbide spec 03
16gb of Corsair vengeance lpx 3200 speed
Sapphire nitro + rx 580 8gb
Corsair VS650
Seagate 2tb hard drive
Kingston 120gb ssd
AMD Wraith Prism CPU cooler
Running store mi in the storages
And a tplink WiFi adaptor
And I was using a regular keyboard and mouse with a acer 900p moniter

Download HWInfo or another temperature reader and run that software to ensure core temp is buggy or anything. Is your CPU Fan running? Is it being used as an intake or exhaust for the CPU?

One problem. In the notice section of the bios update it says to download a chipset driver first. When I tried to download the specified driver (18.10.20.02) it shows a bunch of code onscreen.

Which X470 do you have, the Wi-Fi one? If you go onto the Gigabyte site you can search your model and link it to me.

Hey I just did that and it didn’t seem to make a difference I also tested the temps on hw moniter and it is the same as core temp. What do you suggest I do? Should I take of the cooler and replace it? Maybe the thermal paste hasn’t spread.

Hey mtracy I was just checking my cpu fan and trying to take it off when I realised I never correctly locked it into place. I then did this and my problem seems to be done! I am now playing csgo at 50 degrees! Thx for the help even though it didn’t work. I will give your bios update best answer to thank you for your time. Also sorry for wasting it.

I'm so happy for you man. Glad you fixed it. At least it wasnt faulty or anything crazy.
