Hello everyone I just got a new CPU i7 9700k replaced my i5 9400f. The temps are going over 100c+ with stock fans (highest is 113c) playing warzone. Is that normal? and I can see the gameplay is getting affected.
Build:
i7 9700k
Geforce rtx 2060
Asrock z390
16GB ram
120SSD
PLEASE HELP!

Will a Cooler Master - Hyper 212 Black Edition 120mm CPU Cooling Fan work with my case?
Yes but I'd get this instead as it's a improved version and cost the same.

This is a base min for cooling that CPU, don't expect to be able to overclock with this cooler or if you do it will probably be mild.
Im a little late to the party, according to http://deepcool.com/product/case/2014-05/9_840.shtml, you have 168mm of clearance, so the Hyper 212 Black Edition (https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/coolers/cpu-air-coolers/hyper-212-black-edition/#Specifications) should fit inside your case. Keep in mind, you may (or not) need to remove the motherboard if the "backpanel cut" is not big enough to work with.

Anyways, just two questions:
  1. Are you 100% sure you monuted the stock cooler right?
  2. Did you cleanned the old thermal paste (with isopropyl alcohol) and applied new one for the i7 9700K?

Of course the stock cooler of an i5 9400F is not enough, but 113°C without overclocking seems way too high. (btw: Im not saying you should keep the stock cooler, I too think as other here already wrote, that you need a new better cooler, is just my curiosity, and the probability of turning the things a bit better while you wait for your aftermarket cooling solution).

Hello everyone thank you again for your help. I did went to bestbuy today to get the Cooler Master - Hyper 212 Black Edition 120mm. I am now averaging 70 - 85 c while playing warzone. Is that normal or a little high?

What thermal paste? how many and what size fans do you have? are they fans all blowing in the same direction? Or are the rear fans blowing in and the front fans are blowing in as well? I have to ask since you thought the stock cooler for the 9400 would be sufficient for the new CPU...

The existing cooler for the 9400 is often not adequate for the 9400, much less a for installing on a CPU running two more cores at up to several hundred more MHz...

I put on NH-D15 on a new 9700K two months ago, and it ran it stock clocks (1-2 cores at 4900 MHz, 2-3 cores at 4800 MHz, all cores at 4600 MHz) under full Prime95/small FFT loads at 70-75C, and CPU-Z stress at about 68C.... As he was just a desktop user and suffering no need for an 'all-cores at 5 GHz'-ego trip, he was more than satisfied
