I have been looking to build a new pc, currently using a dated Pavillion laptop. My primary focus with this is not gaming, I'm mostly a console gamer, my PC gaming usually consists of older games when I feel the need to remience. This is mostly for Photo/video editing, and as a HTPC as well. I do have a preferance for AMD(although haven't forsaken intel) and thus have been looking at the Phenom 2 X6s. I have also been considering holding off on a decision to wait for Bulldozer CPUs to hit the market, but I think for what I need they are overkill and would require increasing my budget. The processor I've been considering the most is the 1100T http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103913, although I haven't really seen any discussion about this particular model. Is this due to no one having much experience with it, or because it is only marginally better than the 1090T that a seperate mention is redundant? I would appreciate any input on if this CPU is suitable for my requirements, or other recommendations if you think I would be better off with something else. If I go with a Phenom 2, I will most likely be buying this mobo BIOSTAR TA870+ AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard, http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138198.
