Is there any I7 6700k's 1150 socket types? I'm only seeing 1151+

It is indeed meant only for the 1151, Haswell to Broadwell used the 1150 socket.

Nope, it's made exclusively for the 1151 Skylake platform.

So I have a motherboard with a 1150 cpu socket type I'll have to upgrade that to a 1151+ motherboard cpu socket type inorder to use the i7 6700k skylake right
