Question CPU High temps - 6700k

Hey guys have a bit of a cpu overheating issue from a pc I bought used. Not sure if it’s the case due to minimal cooling, an inadequate cpu cooler or another issue. Thermal paste has been put on correctly, cooler seated properly and the cpu is not overclocked.

case - coolermaster elite 130 mini itx
Cpu - 6700k

Stock cooler - 95 degrees (gaming)
Noctua NH9li - 86 degrees (gaming)
Idle temps 35-45

The case doesn’t allow for much cooler clearance so the Noctua was one of the few that would fit. Didn’t plan on overclockingso thought it would of been an adequate upgrade over the stock cooler.

What are some possible causes for these temps?

Sounds about right, it's a tad much for that cooler. Have you tried maxing the fan profile out?

Noctua NH-L9X65 $45 "65mm total height which is the max your case has."
You can also use a single fan 120mm AIO, like a CM Master MasterLiquid Lite 120 $43 "Pump is 42mm tall"
